Point Score Dates and Venues 2009

People who are looking to purchase a Bullmastiff puppy or would like to find out information on the breed, Point Score Shows usually attract a good number of Bullmastiffs and are a good place to have a look, talk to breeders and owners and observe what happens in the show ring.

Of course, not all of the dogs and breeders in Australia will be there. It is also recommended that you contact your states controlling body (such as Dogs NSW) who can give you the contact details of many registered breeders and they can also tell you if there are any breeders in your area or town.

New Point Score System

The Point Score has been extended to a total of 25 shows with the best 20 results contributing to a dog's score. A qualifying provision has been included, with competing dogs being required to attend at least one BMCNSW Championship Show to be eligible.

How the Point Score Works

Maximum of 15 points at any Point Score Show.

Maximum of 5 points at any Point Score Show (Puppy).

The extra point for Best Opposite Sex in the Puppy Point Score will only be awarded if the class winner has beaten a dog or bitch of the opposite sex within his/her class.

Dogs/bitches who begin the Point Score in any of the Puppy classes are eligible to continue to attain points when they reach the Junior class.

Competitors must be entered in their correct age class to be eligible for the Point Score points eg. Minor Puppies are age 6-9 months, Puppies are ages 9-12 months and so on.

Exhibits who do not appear in Group judging will lose all Point Score points attained at that show.
